Your paper is not a research paper, but should cite the primary text (i.e., the poem) often and use references to it as a way to support your point. I have uploaded an example of the type of literary analysis I’d like you to do under the “Helpful Resources” module of Canvas. Your essay will probably take about three pages. Please note that, in addition to giving you the two poems from which you have to choose, the document below walks you through questions you might ask as you’re reading the poems. These questions are the type of questions that help people interpret poems and determine their meaning and message.
