By the end of the day on Tuesday, write a short post in which you respond to your choice of ONE of the following prompts:
Pick one aspect of Judaism or early Christianity that you find most important and explain what you see as its significance. For example, you may want to talk about its influence on modern western culture, or its importance to the Jewish or Christian people themselves. Note that I’m not asking you just to summarize or describe your chosen aspect, but to give your discussion group a sense of why you find it significant.
After carefully reading the excerpts from the “Sermon on the Mount,” identify at least two or three important Christian beliefs (based on the discussion of “The Message of Jesus” in the “Early Christianity” PDF) that you see expressed in these excerpts.
