Use prewriting strategies by creating an outline. Download the Week 6 Assignment Template [DOCX] and use it to complete the following:
Step 1: Construct a clear thesis statement that states your opinion.
Construct a clear and concise thesis statement that states your opinion or stance on the topic.
Incorporate facts you have uncovered about the topic that will support your opinion.
Step 2: Create a clear introductory paragraph.
Use the paragraph to convey elements such as context, the importance of the topic, summary of key facts, et cetera.
Step 3: Develop body paragraphs to support your argument.
Include three paragraphs that support your main idea. One of the paragraphs should address an opposing viewpoint.
The outline should be detailed and include relevant main points, subpoints, and placement of evidence.
Step 4: Create a conclusion paragraph. The conclusion should summarize the main points of the proposal and include a call to action.
Step 5: Write in a well-organized and concise manner that adheres to the rules of grammar, usage, and mechanics.
