Answering one of the questions provided in the pdf file “Contemporary Literature…Questions”, choosing two sources among the readings provided, and two post colonial theorists (two major theories basically).
The readings are:
‘Nervous Conditions’, novel by Dangarembga
‘The Buddha of Suburbia’, novel by Kureishi
‘Lucy’, novel by Kinkaid
‘Woza Albert!’, play by Simon
‘Americanah’, novel by Adichie
‘Black Panther’, movie
‘Technicians of The Sacred’, a handful of poems collected by Rothenberg (the selection in the pdf, I also attach the preface for further info about them)
‘Interpreter of Maladies’ and ‘When Mr Pirzada came to dine’, two short stories by Lahiri.
I couldn’t find the pdf for Lucy anywhere. And for the list of postcolonial theories see the pdf file, but the required ones are the most famous ones, like Decoloniality, Subalternity, Hybridity…
