4. Critical Examination Paper
This will be a paper that examines and explains a specific item in the Getty Villa
in relation to at least two (2) specific documents contained in the course readers.
The paper must include a descriptive analysis of the item and an explicit
explanation of how this item relates to the two texts under consideration. At least
one (1) of the course readers must be quoted at least two (2) times in the paper
AND you must quote the The J. Paul Getty Museum Handbook of the Antiquities
Collection at least two (2) times. The Critical Examination Paper is to be 7-8
pages in length (MLA format, doubled-spaced, 12-font, Times New Roman). No
other sources may be used in the paper except the course texts.
The Critical Examination Paper is due by 11:59pm on Monday, Dec. 6 and
will be submitted on Blackboard.
