Step by Step guidelines for writing a paper on a developmental theoriest: <
1. Decide which scholar you want to study. You may choose to work on both only if you are confident.<

Components of the Unit 3 paper & two annotated bibliographies<
1. Cover page: Title of the paper (what is your paper about?), your name, course number and title,<
professor name, and other necessary identifications<
2. Introduction part (1 page) that allows readers to learn what to expect from reading your paper, such as purpose of the paper and how the paper is organized.<
3. Body part (Don’t say “body”, use subheadings to organize your paper properly. 3 to 4 pages) that discusses;<
– Based on your reading and research, explain the most notable work Piaget (or Vygotsky) did, especially relevant to literacy instruction or language development ; why you think this (these) noted theorist(s) is (are) often quoted or used to explain children’s development; why you think this (these) noted theorist(s) is (are) important in language and literacy instruction.<

– Make sure use proper “in-text” citations (APA style). Most of the cited should be from peer- reviewed articles in academic journals.<
4. Conclusion part (one page): Reiterate what you believe the most important from what you have already said in the previous sections. Implications /applications/connections to current teaching are also good.<
5. APA style Reference list including any resources you used to obtain more information on the noted scholar(s). In-text citations must be aligned to the reference list.<
6. After reference list, Annotated Bibliographies of the two chosen articles (Important: “Annotated Bibliography” is different from Reference List or Bibliography!!
