DRUG INFORMATION QUESTION
You are working at the outpatient pharmacy and get a call from Dr. Andrews who says he has a question. He
has a 33 year old male patient who has a history immunosuppression after an autologous stem cell
transplantation. He heard about a new indication that the shingles vaccine Shingrix® (Zoster vaccine
recombinant) received over the past year and is wondering if his patient qualifies. He would like to know
more about the literature that supported the new indication, when the approval of the new indication
occurred and whether the dosing/administration schedule is different compared to the dosing/administration
schedule for the previous Shingrix® indication. Provide a written response directed to Dr. Andrews explaining
