One way an organization communicates with its constituents is by its accreditation. Your department head knows that you are in a graduate program and has asked you to assist the department head that works with accreditation and licensure in your facility. She has asked you to develop an initial plan to gain accreditation for a new facility that your organization is opening.

Part 1:

Please download and use the attached Accreditation Plan Table template to complete this assignment in the Assignment Resources below. Please type directly into the document.

A.    For what type of facility are you seeking accreditation? (ex: clinic, laboratory, hospital, university)
 Address each section and include citations within the table as directed. 

• Type of Accreditation: Provide the accreditation organization’s name, background, and why you selected this organization to survey your healthcare facility or educational institution for accreditation.
• Time Needed: Include the time needed to prepare for an initial accreditation survey, how long the site survey is, and how long accreditation lasts.
• Required Resources: Explain the resources that will need prepared and be readily available for the accreditation survey team to review or access.
• Direct Costs: Explain the cost for initial and ongoing accreditation (application, visit, fees, etc).
• Financial Impact if Accreditation Not Earned: Explain the negative impact to the facility’s financials if they do not have accreditation.

Part 2:

This assignment should include a list of references in current APA format at the bottom of the template document. A minimum of 3 scholarly references within the past 5 years are required. **Please complete the assignment for a hospital or healthcare facility
