This assessment has two components – Part 1 and Part 2.
Part 1: Critical analysis of an advert (for a ‘drug’) of your choice. For example, alcohol, cocaine, caffeine,
nicotine, cannabis, ecstasy, paracetamol and so on. The advert should be a still picture, rather than a youtube,
tv or radio clip.
Part 2: Create your own alternative advertisement explaining how it is appropriate for the current day.
Both parts should be submitted together as one assessment, on blackboard, on one document, at the same
time. Part 1 and Part 2 should be well linked, as the analysis of the drug advert in part 1, should relate to
justifications for continuities or changes in your designed advert in part 2.
