There are four lithologies that must be described; C – conglomerate, G – dolerite, H – ignimbrite, I – siltstone.
These should be described on the templates provided. Therefore, there must be 4 templates. For the conglomerate use the sedimentary template. For the siltstone use the sedimentary template. For the dolerite use the crystalline igneous thin section template. For the ignimbrite use the pyroclastic template. The powerpoint images of these rocks are provided. There is no need to describe every individual image.
You can either print off the templates and complete by hand, or type directly into the word documents and insert an image of your (hand-drawn) sketch of the lithologies in ppl.
