Hi,
I am looking to apply to master of economics/master of applied economics programs in the US. I have obtained two previous degrees from Australia. In the SOP I would like the following things to be highlighted:
1. My consistently high grades across my undergraduate degree in economics (A+ and A grades). I would also like for there to be a mention of the improvement of my grades throughout my degree. In junior year courses I averaged a B grade but was averaging A in my senior year economics courses. I believe this improvement in grades is reflective of both my passion for economics as well as my ability to succeed in the profession.
2. As can be seen through my resume I have experience working in the field of data science/data analytics, as well as experience working in new york and at a big 4 accounting firm. I believe the skills I have acquired in the corporate work environment would enable me to succeed in the rigorous master of economics programs that I am looking to apply to.
3. I would also like there to be a section that talks about why a master of economics degree is useful and why I in particular am a good fit to this degree.
