Each student will compose 1 field report on a Public History organization or entity after securing the approval of the professor. The field report requirements are a minimum of 5 pages, 1250 words, typed, 12 font, double-spaced, cover page with course and student data and data on the Public History organization or entity that is being studied. Chicago style formatting is required. The framework is: Overview of the facility/organization History of the facility/organization Discussion of the holdings Discussion of who does the museum/archive/facility/organization serve Discussion of the permanent exhibits or holdings versus temporary exhibits or holdings Discussion on how one gets a job at this facility
