Differentiating Content, Process, and Product COMPETENCIES 2050.4.3 : Differentiating Content, Process, and Product The graduate modifies content, process, and product in order to deliver instruction that takes into account individual students’ differences. INTRODUCTION Student readiness levels, interests, and learning profiles vary in every classroom. It is important for teachers to gather this information about their students and utilize it when planning instruction. Understanding how to differentiate the content, process, and product of lessons to align with students’ readiness levels, interests, and learning profiles will lead to higher levels of student engagement and achievement. REQUIREMENTS You must use the rubric to direct the creation of your submission because it provides detailed criteria that will be used to evaluate your work. Each requirement below may be evaluated by more than one rubric aspect. The rubric aspect titles may contain hyperlinks to relevant portions of the course. A. Differentiate a lesson plan for content, process, and product based on students’ individual differences (i.e., readiness differences, interests, or learning profiles). Note: The lesson plan you use in part A must be created by you, either previously or specifically for this task. The lesson plan as a whole will not be evaluated, only the differentiation therein. 1. Explain how you differentiated the content of the lesson to address students’ individual differences. 2. Explain how you differentiated process in the lesson to address students’ individual differences. 3. Explain how you differentiated the product in the lesson to address students’ Individual differences. B. Due: Week 6
Instructions
This assignment will be completed individually. Everyone will prepare an online presentation and a written report for three historical early educators outlining their philosophy about children and education, and the impact of each educators’ philosophy on current early childhood programs.
Two Components of the Assignment
Each person will prepare and provide:
One report about three early philosophers
One presentation about three early philosophers
1. Written Report (20 points)
The report will explain…
1) The ideas and education theories of three early childhood educators: What was each educator’s main idea about children and education?
2) The impact of each educator’s philosophy on current practice in ECE and include specific examples: How have the educator’s beliefs about children and education influenced the current practices in ECE? What are the examples (evidence) you can find to demonstrate the impact of the educator’s beliefs on current practices in ECE?
The report needs to be written based on research (books, academic articles, etc.). A heavy use of websites or other unreliable sources is not acceptable; your marks will be deducted.
APA format is required (a title page and reference page are required). Use the essay format: introduction – body – conclusion. Also, the materials that you use for the report MUST be properly cited and referenced according to APA format. Be aware of plagiarism (See all the announcements).
Minimum 1200 words and maximum 1800 words (excluding the title page and reference page). A proper title page, reference page, doubled spaced, Times New Roman font or Arial font, and font size 12 is required.
2. Presentation (20 points)
Your group will prepare for an online presentation, which will explain the philosophy/ideas of the three chosen educators and their impact on current ECE programs.
You are required to use some visuals, and recording your voice is highly encouraged in the presentation.
Presentations are to be informative, creative, and interesting. You may choose to present the information in a variety of ways (e.g., Powrerpoint, video, blackboard collaborate, etc.). Be creative there are many ways to present this part of the assignment. Or you may choose to create an online poster with a program like glogster.com, a mind map with spiderscribe.com, or even a video and host it on Vimeo or Youtube. Sliderocket.com, prezi.com, powtoon.com or powerpoint offer alternative ways to organize and present materials online as well.
The length of the presentation will be a minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 20 minutes. If you are choosing to use Powerpoint, no minimum or maximum slide numbers are required.
Make sure that each of your slides contains proper citations following APA.
Marks assigned for the classroom presentation will be based on the Presentation Rubric, which is attached to the assignment.
DO NOT JUST COPY AND PASTE FROM YOUR WRITTEN REPORT.

The grade and content area in which you are pursuing licensure (PRE-K) OR 1ST GRADE
A link to a news story about the current event
Name of all content area disciplines that you are using in your plan and why you chose the other discipline as a corollary to your own. Make sure to choose more than one discipline, e.g. math and science or math and art.

Please read the “Announcements” section of this course for tips on completing this assignment and a template to help guide you in completing this assignment.
I have attached all of the information needed and how the teacher wants the assignment done and the rubric as it should be followed.

During this course, you have had the opportunity to reflect on and discuss theoretical literature and relate the literature to your own and other course participants’ teacher practice. Module 3 is devoted to writing an individual paper which provides a reflective analysis that combines the theory and practice of CC (communicative competence) and ICT in English language teaching. Importance is given to your capacity to adopt an independent stance in relation to the course literature and offer well-founded arguments for your didactic standpoints. Your ability to structure and present a clearly written academic paper is also assessed in Module 3, where you are expected to show that you have integrated the feedback from previous assignments. The paper (approximately 1200-1500 words, in Times New Roman 12, 1,5 spacing) should be structured following the academic format, which means that the following components need to be included: Paper title + your name and course code Introduction, where you give a brief background and present your aim and the themes that you have chosen to focus on. Body text, where the themes are developed, i.e. critically discussed in light of the literature and your own experiences. Conducting a critical discussion means going beyond a simple answer and instead approaching a phenomenon from different perspectives. This also means connecting theoretical ideas to your teacher practice, thereby assessing their relevance and sustainability. The literature (course literature and other relevant articles that you have read) should be appropriately referred to in the text according to the Harvard standard, i.e., author’s last name year:page, for instance (Lundahl 2009:74) Conclusion, where you revisit your aim and summarize the most important points of your paper, perhaps also indicating fruitful avenues for further exploration. List of references. Subheadings are not required, although they are reader-friendly and may also help you in the writing process to structure the content of your paper. Bax, S.
