You will be focusing on Physical Development and Health and its implications on other learning domains. (Pages 31-34)
Choose specific CT Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS) strands and learning progressions to describe. (Page 8 in the ELDS will help you to understand what each section is called.)
At minimum 3 ELDS domain,  strands and learning progressions must be referenced. At least one  ▪ should be from Physical Development and Health. Others to focus on are Cognitive and Social Emotional. Other domains can also be included.

Strand A – Early Learning Experiences will support children to develop gross motor skills.
Learning Progression – Large Muscle Movement and Coordination
You would do the same for two more learning domains. Then you will focus your presentation on the strands and progressions you choose.

Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS)

Reflective practice will be an integral part of this course.  A written reflection of the assigned readings will be sent to me night before the class in which chapters will be discussed class. Each reflection will include a max 4 page narrative (not a list) about your most “significant learnings” or “aha’s” as well as how you will use your new learnings and/or how they will influence your behavior as a leader.
Your reflection should address/label each assigned reading and include quotes/Page numbers and a connection to your current reality. Anything else you wish to share is also welcome. 
Your entries will reflect current knowledge and insights specific to the curriculum topics being addressed including my presentations and class seminar discussions. 
Reflections should also identify and integrate the language of the SDL standards into the narrative of EACH assigned reading text. 
Reflections are due NO LATER than the following class in which readings will be discussed.  Each reflection includes comments about the readings which were assigned to be completed for that class.

Case Study: (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time)
Each response should provide:

We reviewed 6 areas leaders need to consider as they develop and
communicate their vision to others. These, of course, can and should be applied within curriculum leadership positions. After familiarizing yourself with the Learn material, review the Gospel of Mark.

Ultimately, young children have an amazing capacity for learning, including their sensory and perceptual capacities, motor skill development, and their acquisition of language. Through a child’s many amazing milestone accomplishments, teachers are caregivers and play a critical role in their healthy development.
In your letter you should:
Introduce yourself and share your experience and background information to welcome families to your classroom and school/facility.
Explain your beliefs and ideas about early childhood physical, cognitive, and social/emotional development.
Describe the theory/theorist that best aligns with your beliefs, including how the theory will influence your decision-making in the classroom.
Create a 1-page infographic to accompany the letter that highlights the main biological, environmental, and cultural factors that influence a child’s development. Your infographic should include a minimum of 2 examples for each type of factor (i.e., biological, environmental, cultural) and contain the following:

Rationale. Explain why your evidence-based strategy would be effective for Cassie. (one paragraph, with citations from assigned readings. Ex: Reutzel & Cooter, page XX)
References. List your references in alphabetical order by author last name. Do not worry about precise APA formatting or hanging indent. Module presentations can be informally cited (Ex. PCC, EDC 272, Module 4 PPT)
After you post your findings, compare your results with classmates’ posts. It is ok if your results are not the same as everyone else’s.
