Hydrogen is a prime candidate to replace fossil fuels in the maritime industry. However, there are several questions to be answered. this project should be able to defining the optimum hydrogen carrier for axillary power; the best storage method for the respective hydrogen carrier. Moreover, should explore possible options for the fuel cell based on the ship type, and apply the proposed power generating method to a case study (a tanker ship). In summery, this project is looking at the technological reediness, and benefits and shortcomings of hydrogen as an alternative fuel.
