Identify and write 500 words comparing and contrasting a location that you know as a place and how that location is represented spatially on a map.
Use Jean Robert’s definitions of space and place in his encyclopedia entry entitled, SPACE.
Space and place are two different ways of conceiving the “where” question.
The where question can be answered by space determinations [quantitative, coordinates] or by the memories of a concrete place [qualitative, specific to a particular person’s experience].
You can choose a place in Canada, such as Vancouver, Toronto, etc.，please include proper citation.
