1. In your own words, describe the goals and objectives of the program
2. Choose any one (1) Division on the website and list the neighbourhood(s) that it patrols
3. Choose any 1 news release within this neighbourhood and describe if you believe the
crime occurred because that area is located in a low-demand high-social control
neighbourhood or a high-demand-low-social control neighbourhood. Explain your
response
4. Access the “Find my Neighbourhood Community Officer” link contact the Community
Officers from the division you chose in question #2, introduce yourself as a PFP Humber
College Student, identify the course you are taking and this assignment, and inquire of
this officer is able the answer the following question which aligns with the Toronto
Police Service Community Policing Goal: “How do you build trust and strengthen relationships with the citizens within the
neighbourhood(s) you serve”
A) Paste/Discuss the email that you sent to the officer in your final submission

Prepare a reflection on your experience highlighting what you learned about this
program and the steps you would take as a police officer to build trust and strengthen
relationships with citizens within the neighbourhoods you serve. Make sure to include if
this program is supporting principles of EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity) and
reaching the equity seeking groups within the communities policed.
