OS/161 Synchronization problem (ONLY PART 2, NOT PART 1)
You will be working in the OS/161 simulated operating system environment (you can install it on your machine, the tar file is provided, untar and load it onto you PC).
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PDF CAREFULLY. Update the three files in the OS161 subdirectories with the three files (menu.c, stoplight.c, and test.h) I’ve attached. Ignore the Git repository stuff.
You must ONLY do Part 2 – Coding (75 points) starting on page 7 of the pdf, DO NOT DO PART 1 – Code reading (25 points).
You will be programming a 3-way traffic signal intersection, and coding for synchronization using locks, while avoiding busy waiting etc. Must maximize concurrency. More explanation starting on page 7 of the PDF. Text me IMMEDIATELY for any questions. MUST BE GOOD WITH C AND OPERATING SYSTEMS. I can provide notes or textbooks as necessary. There is a powerpoint I’m attaching that was written to explain the project a little more, it might help,
