nswers to Assignment Questions
General Instructions: To prepare for the panel discussion, you must prepare a written paper that provides responses to fiscal law questions, as detailed below. For each question, state the question number, the question exactly as asked, and provide your answer.
Use 12‐point font with double spacing. Use complete sentences with correct grammar and punctuation. Do not cut and paste from cited materials. Instead, use your own words to capture the answer as succinctly and accurately as possible and in a manner that conveys understanding. The
“Documentation” section of the grading rubric provides for point deductions for failure to comply with these instructions.
Each answer must be no more than 75 words. To count words, use Microsoft Word’s “Word Count” function, typically located on the “Review” tab. Citations are not included in the word count. For answers with more than one response, the word limit applies to each response. For example, Question 17 directs you to “Identify 2 exceptions to the Miscellaneous Receipts Statute.” The 75‐word limit applies to each exception, for a total of 150 words.
Question Responses: In the “Assignment Questions” section below, I have generated a list of Fiscal Law questions for you to answer. While they may not be the questions the Director will ask, the research you will perform in answering them will help prepare you for the panel discussion.
To assist your research, consider the Attachment 1 sources (including linked resources) and the CAD Fiscal Law section previously scanned. Scan the CAD first! Although it may not be cited as an authoritative source, it will provide direction and references to guide your research.
