Show your comprehension of the reading material by finding an artifact online that relates to the week’s readings (please don’t use the reading material as your artifact). This can be a recent news event, a film, an episode of a tv show, music video, podcast episode, etc. You will write a one-page, double-spaced paper applying class concepts to the artifact.
What I’m looking for:
· Think about how your artifact is in conversation with the readings. This means ask yourself questions such as:
o What specific events relate to concepts discussed in the readings?
o What imagery can you identify as visual representations of the concepts in the readings?
o In what way does your artifact expand on the ideas in the text?
o Does your artifact disagree with anything in the readings?
o What is your understanding of the readings, and how does your artifact contribute to that understanding?
· The key is to approach the assessment with a critical mind.
o A good question to keep in mind is, “Can I go deeper?”
· Make sure you apply at least THREE references to the readings in your assessment.
· Use at least ONE quotation from the readings.
· Make sure you use appropriate citations.
