Critical Health Artefact (30%)
Create an artefact (e.g. poster; poem; word diagram; painting; drawing; model; sculpture; video; play; power-point) that illustrates your own understanding of what applying critical perspectives to health issues means. Some of you will like to draw and others will like to write, and others to sculpt. What kind of artefact you produce is completely up to you. The main thing is that you understand what your artefact means and that you are able to explain to others how it illustrates your philosophy. You will bring your artefact to our tutorial on October 15 and submit your rationale to me in class then as well.
Accompanying your artefact you will need a 500-750 word scriipt that explains a) why you created your artefact in the way you have; b) what it means and, c) how it may shape how you engage with health issues in your day-to-day life and in any current or future profession.
Marking criteria:
Artefact has been created that clearly and thoughtfully conveys a sense of what your critical perspective on health entails (8%)
Artefact is displayed at October 10 tutorial and explained clearly to peers (7%)
Script addresses why the artefact looks like it does, what it means and how might shape your enagement with health issues. The key tenets of your critical perspective on health are clearly elaborated. (15%)
