Directions:
I would like you to simply respond to this play honestly. What surprised you about it? What confused you about it? In what ways did it feel familiar or in what ways did it not? Did you follow the story? Was the supernatural aspect kind of interesting? How did it reflect the culture of Chinese culture as brought up in the lecture/reading?
This is more of an honest reaction, but put some thought into it. Structure your paper around a central idea and then support your claim with strong evidence separated out into discrete paragraphs.

Please don’t be like the first writer who did this and got me this response: You certainly cite a couple author names, but this borders so closely to other articles that I can hardly accept it. Mostly you have found stuff relating to the RSC production of this piece. It also speaks so generally of the original work that it does not testify to comprehension. I won’t label this as cheating, but actually citing those sources and using original ideas is required.
