This is a creative writing assignment. There is no need for cited work or articles. The required number of pages is 8. The topic is a coming-of-age story of an Afro-Latina girl finding the determination to go to college against economic adversity and coming to terms with her identity of being black and latine. Include her working two jobs and applying for scholarships to save up money for college. Then, when she gets accepted to the college of her dreams, write about how she goes to a house party, and things go wrong, and how she recovers.
