The essay should be sufficiently detailed to enable an understanding of the representative’s position, make explicit/cited connections to class readings and the student’s assigned topic (5/20)
The essay should include the elected official’s position and voting records on the student’s assigned topic (5/20 points), and include a position in favor of/in support of the public official’s stance, or against the stance of the public official (5/20).
