“Each student will be required to review and analyze THREE journal articles on ONE topic explored in class. You will conduct research-based data searches on the topic; NOT web sites, blogs, dictionaries, encyclopedias (e.g., Ask. Com/About.com/ Wikipedia are not appropriate). Your paper must: Be well-written, thoughtful, and based upon information gathered on your topic. No longer than 5-6 pages, excluding references (minimum 5 full pages). Written in American Psychological Association format (APA) style, double-spaced, 12 pt. font, and contain the following: An introduction of the topic and its importance in your own words. A summary of your findings: For each article focus on what the authors were studying, how they approached it, what they found, and their conclusions. Include answers to the following questions in your review: What were the researchers studying? What research question(s) were they trying to answer? Who participated in their research? Describe the characteristics of the participants. How did they select participants? How was the research conducted (describe what the researchers did, and what research method(s) was used)? If it was an experiment, what variables were manipulated? What variables were measured, recorded or observed? What did the researchers find? What were the results? What conclusions do the researchers make?
