Ease write a proper comment to the following post which is for another student ( it’s related to the previous Order # 360813453

*Instructions:
In regards to the replies to other students’ initial posts, we are looking for a well thought-out and articulate response (approximately 200 words) that provide support, encouragement, and additional clarification related to the issues raised which and which also incorporates new evidence/information from the readings and expands upon the ideas raised, rather than duplicate previous content. Contributions need to be supported using reference(s), experience and/or logic.
*Passage:
” As an x-ray technologist I utilize evidence-based practice (EBP) in my work to produce diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety. One of the main concepts of EBP is the consolidation of clinical experience and the best scientific evidence to make decisions for the patient’s care (Sackett, 1996). This process involves: formulating an answerable question, acquiring, appraising and aggregating evidence, applying the evidence and clinical experience to reach a decision and evaluating the outcome of the decision (Barends et al, 2015). There are many sources of evidence that I use to guide my practice, these include findings from academic journals, statistics from hospital databases and my professional experience.
One way I ensure I’m using EBP is by keeping up with the latest advances in medical imaging by reading the latest articles in some journals. Recently, I came across an article that discussed how a variation of one of the typical views done for a wrist x-ray could help identify fractures in the distal radius (Gasheva et al., 2020). While I was completing a routine wrist x-ray for an outpatient I noticed an irregularity in the distal radius. I asked the radiologist if it would be acceptable to perform this specialized view and they agreed it would be beneficial and it turned out to better visualize a fracture. Another source of evidence I use are the statistics from the hospital’s database about patient visits in our department. Comparing weekly data to the baseline before and throughout the pandemic is useful to gauge the workload being done and whether the data justifies additional staff coverage or movement within the department to make better use of resources. Upon completing the readings I gained a deeper appreciation for EBP because I realized that I was not explicitly taught how to pursue it properly during my program and training. Rather it was my curiosity for advancements in my field that led me to seek and apply new knowledge.
As a future healthcare manager it is important to maximize efficiency given the finite resources available. Using the principles of evidence-based management to guide decisions can reduce ineffective and costly decisions to the organization (Barends et al, 2015). I instinctively try to find areas to improve efficiency in my work. For example, initially we were obtaining portable chest radiographs for COVID+ patients by entering their room with the machine and having to clean the machine afterwards for infection control purposes, a process that normally took 5 minutes to complete took 15 minutes. I found a number of articles that looked at the possibility of taking portable x-rays through the glass door so that the machine stayed outside. These articles found there was no difference in image quality yet increased exam efficiency (Gange et al., 2020). I had a positive conversation with my supervisor and radiologist about using this evidence in our practice and they agreed to trial this protocol and evaluate the results. In a future management role I hope to find further improvements in my department.”

Lesson 6: The Stakeholders
Activity 6: Hospital CEO (100 points)
For this activity, you must do independent research to determine three (3) key issues that will affect hospitals in your state’s next legislative session. Your state hospital association should have written materials concerning this matter. Also, your local papers, especially those in your state capital, have undoubtedly covered this subject thoroughly. If you are already familiar with a local hospital administrator (CEO, COO, CFO, DON, or similar party) who is active in the State Hospital Association, you may also wish to contact him/her.
Describe the three (3) issues and then for each of the issues, discuss the following.
1. What position does the association take on each statewide issue?
2. What strategies does the association have to achieve its objectives?
3. What coalitions will be formed?
Examples of issues might include funding for indigent care, Medicaid reimbursement, rural health, mental health coverage, and nursing and tech training and shortages.

Note: FILM MAY BE CONSIDERED EXTREMELY DISTURBING
Watch one of the following films (sign-in to confirm adult age may be necessary):
“Farm to Fridge” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju7-n7wygP0&t=616s) [kindly notify me if the link needs to be updated] .
“Slaughterhouse Made in France – Certified Organic” (https://youtu.be/DgzcLfQJLPI)
Upon completion of the movie, answer the following questions in your own opinion (identify the movie watched in the title of the paper):
1. Do you consider the of the practices observed in the film necessary in order to maintain or elevate the health of the general population via the final products provided?
2. Would you be able to perform these actions yourself if you were not paying someone else to do it for you? If you do not purchase meat from conventional locations or at all, briefly describe how you obtain the nutrients typically provided by consuming animal flesh.
3. What scene or fact bothered you most in the film, and why? Be sure to state the time stamp of the actual segment for verification.
4. What is one effect you believe will occur physiologically (do not include psychological aspects here) when a person consumes animals that have been treated in this manner, especially for a prolonged period of time? Provide a citation (academic source) for the hypothesis.
5. If you currently consume animal flesh from conventional locations, will you still consider eating food from a conventional food supplier (corner store, fast food restaurant, supermarket, etc.) after watching this film? Why or why not? If you do not currently consume animal flesh, do you feel that the agenda on the film demonstrate an accurate or skewed view of how most farming operations process animal flesh? Why do you feel this way?
Note: There is a message promoting veganism at the end of the video. This is NOT the intent of the assignment, no one should try to make anyone “become” anything. The intent of the video as an assignment is to provide awareness of how common animal based products are mass produced. If one chooses to attempt veganism due to the feelings developed from watching the video, then it is on the individual’s conscious and desire. Do not “fake” becoming vegan after watching these films believing that it will improve your grade (I am not vegan, and if I was, this should not result in students receiving a higher grade on the assignment for agreeing with the video). The message at the end of the video is irrelevant to the purpose of this assignment, and students will not be graded on the choice to follow in or reject the agenda promoted, nor will a student’s grade will be impacted based on the opinion provided to question #5. Also note that the videos do not demonstrate the practices of ALL farms (if what is demonstrated in the video can even be truly considered a “farm,” at least in the traditional sense).
There is no page requirement for this assignment. The focus is on quality. One can answer all questions in 20 complex sentences and have all the information requested with a strong foundation for each response, whereas one can write 10 pages, yet dance around every single question with verbose yet meaningless information due to lack of content knowledge. One can choose to simply answer the questions in lieu of writing in essay format, but all questions must be provided prior to the answer for the assessment analysis if utilizing a question/answer format. Failure to do so will result in an automatic 1 out of 5 for the appearance category. No exceptions.
Additionally, at my discretion, a lack of verification will either penalize or automatically disqualify the paper (this will depend on the severity of the attempt at academic dishonesty), as the student will be considered to not have watched the film, but instead merely read a synopsis available on the internet, thus defeating the ENTIRE point of a reaction paper based on a video. If students do not want to watch such videos, students can instead complete the presentation assignment.
In regards to appearance, the following guidelines are to be followed if one desires maximum points for appearance
Font: Arial, Courier, Georgia, Trebuchet, Times New Roman, or Verdana
Font size: 10 – 14
Line spacing: 1.5 to 2

MPH Foundational Competencies (CEPH)
Upon successful completion of this assignment, you should be able to:
Advocate for political, social, or economic policies and programs that will improve health in diverse populations [CEPH.14]
MPH Foundational Public Health Knowledge (FKO)
Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:
Explain effects of environmental factors on a population’s health [FKO.07]
Key Resources
Website: EPA’s MyEnvironment Database
Website: U.S. House of Representatives: Find Your Representative
Website: Writing Letters to Elected Officials
Prompt
Imagine that you are the environmental health expert for the local health department. You have been tasked with writing a letter to the U.S. Congressional Representative—on behalf of the local health department. This letter will also be published as an “open letter” within local media outlets as an opinion editorial (i.e., an “Op-Ed”).
Gathering information for your letter
Determine a local environmental health concern: Before you begin drafting your public health advocacy letter, use the EPA’s MyEnvironment database to search for a specific environmental health concern within a specific location. If you live within the United States, you are encouraged to use your own community—but you may select any location using this database for the purpose of this assignment.
Identify the U.S. Congressional Representative: Identify the U.S. Congressional Representative for this community by searching the Find Your Representative site of the U.S. House of Representatives.
In this letter, you must address the following:
Summarize the environmental health concern (250 words): Break down the environmental health concern into the specific hazards at play and the quantifiable effects on population health. Discuss how this concern diminishes the health status of the population/community. Your summary should address the following questions:
Health Concern and Hazard(s): What types of health problems may be caused by your identified environmental hazards? What environmental hazards and stressors (stimuli in the environment that cause stress) are people exposed to, at what levels, and for how long?
Quantifiable Effects on Population Health: What is the chance that people will experience health problems when exposed to different levels of these hazards and environmental stressors? Is there a level below which these environmental hazards or stressors don’t pose a human health risk?
Health Status of the Population: Are some people more likely to be susceptible to environmental hazards or stressors because of factors such as age, genetics, pre-existing health conditions, ethnic practices, gender, etc.? Are some people more likely to be exposed to environmental hazards or stressors because of factors such as where they work, where they play, what they like to eat, etc.?
Frame the issue through health equity (500 words): Describe the community or population at risk. What are relevant social determinants of health? How do these determinants create a health disparity? What aspects of the system make this environmental health concern related to health inequity? Summarize why there are barriers to health equity with this particular issue.
Advocating for policies and programs (250 words): Make recommendations that may improve the health among the marginalized, vulnerable, or disadvantaged populations within the region. Please ensure your recommendations include the following:
One (1) recommendation that focuses on a health campaign (i.e., political advocacy).
One (1) recommendation that focuses on a social program (e.g., free clean water stations).
One (1) recommendation that focuses on an economic policy (i.e., funding for environmental health efforts).
Guidelines for Submission: Submit your Public Health Letter Assignment as a Word document with double-spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Your letter should be 1,000–1,250 words in length. Any sources should be cited in APA format.
Refer to the Module Two Letter Assignment Guidelines and Rubric PDF for further details.
