This week we will finish our transformation of the US electrical system.  Building on our new energy efficient built environment, we will propose a significant addition of renewable energy electricity systems that will negate any requirement we currently have to burn fossil fuels to produce electricity.  Your original post will have three major components:
Find out how much renewable electricity we need to produce on an annual basis (MWh/yr).  Use the work we accomplished in the first week of Module 10 as a basis for this estimate.
Propose a mix of renewable energy technologies for this additional generation.  This mix should be based on percentages.  Add a couple of sentences justifying your mix.
With your knowledge of capacity factors prove that your choice of renewable technologies will transform the US electrical grid within ten years to be largely run without using fossil fuels.  This section should include added capacities (MW) for each of your chosen renewable technologies.
To summarize: Your original discussion post should include how much renewable electricity we have to add in annual production (MWh/yr) to transform our new energy efficient country.  Your post should further explain the mix of technologies that you propose and a short defense of your choices.  Lastly, include calculations that show the capacity (MW) that needs to be added for each of your choices.
