Describe a current emerging environmental health issue. This could include concerns caused by a recent natural disaster, man-made disaster or disease outbreak from food, water or vectors.
Have we dealt with similar issues in the past? How can environmental health professionals use previous experience to respond to the current problem?

Choose two countries from across the globe to compare for this project. The income level of each country should be different. You may use the country you reviewed for Project 1 as one of the countries you include for this project.
Include the following information for the project

1. Introduction
Briefly describe the countries and their history, including total population, government type, and classification by income (high, middle, low) for each (one paragraph for each country)
 
2. Give a brief description of the health of the population and healthcare spending for each country (one paragraph for each country) including the following
i. Life expectancy at birth – The average for each country. Are there differences that can be seen between income, race/ethnicity, education level, rural vs urban, etc. in each country?
ii. Top five causes of death for each country
iv. Access to healthcare
v. Current health expenditure (% GDP) for each country

3. Reproductive health
i. Contraceptive prevalence (one paragraph) What is it? Compare the two countries. Are there differences? Why?
ii. Fertility trend (one paragraph) What is it? Compare the two countries. Are there differences? Why?
iii. Maternal mortality ratio (one paragraph) What is it? Compare the two countries Are there differences? Why?
iv. Neonatal mortality rate (one paragraph) What is it? Compare the two countries. Are there differences? Why?

4. Nutrition
i. Global Hunger Index (one paragraph) What is it? Compare the two countries. Are there differences? Why?
ii. Child and adolescent nutrition status (one paragraph) Compare the prevalence of underweight and overweight . Are there differences? Why?
iii. Adult nutrition status (one paragraph) Compare the prevalence of underweight and overweight. Are there differences? Why?

5. Mental Health System (one to two paragraphs)
i. Mental health expenditure per capita (Country or WHO Region)
ii. Describe access to mental health services for each country (one paragraph)
   
6. Concluding thoughts (max four paragraphs)
i. Summarize the information you detailed in the project and use it to describe the overall health of the two countries and where each stands in comparison to the other country.
iii. Explain some of the reasons for the differences in the health measures included in this project.
