Using Annotated Bibliography and the outline as a beginning point of your research, you will write a research paper that critically discusses contemporary literatures that offer various perspectives on your chosen research topic. Using your research, knowledge, experience, the course discussions and the course readings, argue your position on your research question and connect it to practice. Select a minimum of five scholarly articles and incorporate minimum 2 course readings (both required and optional course readings can be used) to engage in a discussion of the issue. The paper should not be a collection of summaries of readings. Rather your paper should be an analysis of the current literatures which offer various perspectives and controversies highly relevant to the chosen topic. Your paper should discuss implications for practice in early childhood care and education that honours issues of social justice and equity. Your conclusion should restate your thesis statement; provide a summary of key points and end with implications for future practice in the field.
Your paper should be a minimum of 2000 words or 5 to 6 pages (12 font double spaced) and adhere to APA style rules and guidelines (typed, double-spaced, with Times New Roman 12-font and one- inch margins, etc.).
