Guidelines:
Please follow the Guidelines in the section for your presentation:
The delivery of your Power Point presentation (8-10 slides) needs to be 10 minutes in length. On each slide, please keep the amount of text to a minimum. For example, an approach with two to three lines with one to three words per line is usually considered professional in the U.S. and required for this presentation.
Additionally for the actual presentation, you must speak directly to the audience. Be sure to stand out with the audience and Not behind the computer or a table. Also, please remember to have eye contact. If this is new for you, you can look at the back wall, just above everyone’s heads, and it will appear as if you are having eye contact with the audience. Some hand gestures are also recommended. Walking around a little is often considered a good approach for this style of presentation.
What is more, you may use one note card for your presentation to make reference to; reading your presentation is Not allowed. Bear in mind to make this a standard professional U.S. style presentation as described in these Guidelines.
No reading is allowed for the presentation.
Attendance at all presentations is required of each student.

Visual Aid: You must have a Power Point for your presentation. Use two or three bullet points (lines) with two or three words in general to limit the amount of language in your Power Point so that the audience focuses on you, the presenter. On each slide, for all paraphrasing and quoting, you are required to use APA in-text citations, and references.
Images/Photos/Clip Art: You are required to use your own original photography and/or art work. Taking a picture of only the cover of your book could likely constitute a copyright violation. If your book is in a setting with other items, e.g. on a desk with a coffee cup, etc., it would likely be okay to include in your presentation. In addition, due to very possible copyright violations, you are Not allowed to copy pictures, photos and clip art off of the internet because most are copyrighted. You must use your own original work.

Evaluation: creativity; clarity; depth of exploration of issues; themes; culture; etc.; various perspectives presented. Be sure to show the class what you really enjoyed learning about in the novel, enticing them to read it as well.
