Cultural Exploration Exploration: Using the information covered in class about culture, you will explore a culture. You may choose from any culture outside of American culture or your own culture. Find a movie and examine what the movie portrays about this culture. Research the culture using library resources, interviews etc. to find out what the culture is really like. Compare and contrast your findings with the media’s portrayal of the culture. You will clearly state how the knowledge found during your research will help increase communication effectiveness with this culture (what did you learn that will help you with intercultural communication). You can use categories like family interactions, power distribution, gender roles, verbal, and nonverbal etc. to discuss the media’s portrayal of the culture and your research. You need at least five sources for this paper. Submit the paper online with a work cited page or bibliography. MLA or APA are acceptable. Paper: 3-5 pages typed 12pt font.
