How has its importance changed over the years?

For this assignment, you will write a five-paragraph essay resulting from research into an invention or innovation from the decade of the 1920’s. There are many to choose from: the automobile, the phonograph, the radio, movies, clothes styles (the “flappers”), jazz music, speakeasies, anti-immigration sentiments, and religious fundamentalism, just to name a few. You are free to choose any aspect of the 1920’s to your liking. The structure of the essay is as follows:
Paragraph 1: Introduction to the invention or innovation, with a very general topic sentence (or sentences), such as “The radio was the most important invention of the 1920’s” or “Radio quickly became the most important tool of unifying Americans during the 1920’s.” Continue in this paragraph by introducing the facts related to your invention (when and where).
Paragraph 2: In this paragraph, you will present general attitudes about the new invention in America and and how quickly it became popular.
Paragraph 3: Tell how the invention or innovation changed the way that Americans thought or behaved. Talk about the effect of the invention on American culture.
Paragraph 4: Get more specific about the ‘duration’ of the invention or innovation. Was it popular only in the 1920’s. Or did its popularity last much longer? Is it perhaps still popular today? How has its importance changed over the years?
Paragraph 5: In the concluding paragraph, general attitudes towards the invention or innovation, placed in a cultural context. Have attitudes changed? Is there a positive or negative connotation associated with it. You could also make predictions for the future.
Will it still be popular in the years to come?
Each paragraph will be four-five sentences long and the overall product should be approximately 200 words.
