Using at least one of the College’s Library Databases ( JSTOR, Proquest, Academic OneFile, etc.) and other outside research tools, each student will explore the 1918-1919 Spanish Flu and its impact on the U.S. Some of the questions that you might explore are (Please use your own questions as well). You must cite at least 5 different sources.
a. Where did the disease originate?
b. What impact did it have on the individuals living in the affected areas?
c. How was the disease spread?
d. How did individuals combat the disease?
e. What reforms were initiated after the event?
f. Etc.
1. Each student must submit an acceptable paper to receive a passing grade in the course.
2. The assignment must be at least five pages and no longer than seven pages.
3. The paper must be double-spaced with standard margins with 10-12 point type.
4. Each paper must include a cover sheet with your name and course number.
