This is an analysis of Professional Writing. Firstly, write a summary of the piece, what is the article about? Secondly, discuss who the intended audience is, what the purpose of the piece is, and the overall effectiveness of the piece as a whole. Ask yourself while reading: was the piece easy to follow, was the writing clear and concise, and was the organization of the paper understandable and followable? End your analysis by discussing if the author met the expectation for you as an audience: if it was an informative piece, did you learn something new; if it was a persuasive piece, did it persuade you or make you think differently about the topic? The paper should be double-spaced and use Times New Roman, 12-point font. Use at least two direct quotes from the piece. Also use at least one outside source for this paper, which means that you should have a work cited or reference page.
