Students are expected to write a 3-5 page statement on their philosophy regarding how students with disabilities should be educated and supported. This reflection should be based on your readings, knowledge, and the areas that you as a special educator specialize in or would consider key components in successfully providing an exceptional educational opportunity for individuals with disabilities. Be sure to cite educational philosopher and leaders that you model yourself after such as Piaget, Montessori, Dewey, etc. In addition, you should incorporate information you’ve read in the textbook, learning activities, and ‘High-Leverage Practices in Special Education’ article.
