write a report (about 3 pages) which presents separate reviews of two colleagues’ papers. Ideally, each review should be approximately 1.5 pages.
Detailed Guidelines
1. Re-state the thesis (the current issue being discussed) and main argument of the paper.
2. Provide global comments. Discuss the paper in general and include for example, your comments on whether the paper is clear, well organized, concise and/or well-researched.
3. Provide local comments. Discuss specific aspects within the paper and include for example, a
discussion on areas of confusion, repetition, inadequate sourcing et cetera.
4. You do not have to comment on the writing itself: diction, vocabulary, and /or sentence
structure beyond your global and local comments. However, it is very helpful to your colleague to point out mistakes, incomplete sentences, and/or typographical errors that they may have
missed.
5. Use the following grading areas to guide your evaluation and to suggest areas where the paper
can be improved:
Content
• Is the purpose of the paper clearly or vaguely established, and/or generally maintained?
• Are the details of the topic effective, specific and/or relevant, or are they irrelevant and/or limited in depth?
• Is the writing lively, original and/or maintains the reader’s interest, or is it unfocused, disconnected and/or off topic?
Organization
• Is there a clear introduction, body (literature review and discussion) and conclusion or are these parts undeveloped, unidentifiable and/or ineffective?
• Are the transitions (flow of the paper) smooth and effective or are they mechanical or missing?
• Is the writing focused with well-developed and logical paragraphing or is the sequencing unfocused with errors in paragraphing?

1. Your report should be in the following format:
• No more than 3 pages in length.
• Microsoft Word Document (.docx or .doc).
• 12 point Times New Roman font.
• 1.5 line spacing and 1 inch margins.
