Through the Holocaust, the Nazi party enacted some of the
most brutal and efficient killing methods the world has ever seen. These
methods resulted in upwards of 6,000,000 innocent men, women, and children to
lose their lives. In an atmosphere that seemed to be designed for the sole
purpose of killing, it is nothing short of miraculous that some managed to
survive. In the following essay, explain what most contributed to the
survival of those targeted by the Nazis. In other words, did luck or something else play the largest roll for those that survived? Use specific historical examples to explain your response.
