The purpose of this assignment is to learn more about smoothly integrating and transitioning to direct quotes as evidence, providing the appropriate context for the evidence, and analyzing that evidence effectively. Also, you will learn more about transitions in general, both between paragraphs and sentences in paragraphs.
Instructions
Please read and annotate the slide show titled “Integrating Quotes.” You can access the slideshow below under “Readings.”

Once you have gone through everything, please look at your own paper and revise your quotes and transitions where needed based on what you learned. There are activities in each slide show to help you complete this. Please follow the instructions given there.
This is what you post for credit: After you have gone through your paper, please select one thing that you revised and show us the before and after of it. For example, if you revised a transition between paragraphs to make it more effective, please post how it was originally, then your revised version, and briefly explain what you changed, and why you think it is more effective now. Please note that you should not be posting whole papers or paragraphs. In the example I just gave, you could simply post the last 1-2 sentences of the first paragraph, and the first 1-2 sentences of the following paragraph to show the transition. Please be sure to reply to the appropriate thread. For example, if you share a change to a transition between paragraphs, be sure to post on the thread for that.
