Supposedly I have been to the united Arab emirates- Abu Dhabi.
Well they want me to write a narrative to compare the education field in between the United States and `Abu dhabi
– Countries typically have what Jean-Francois Lyotard (1984) referred to as metanarratives. A metanarrative in critical theory and particularly in postmodernism is a narrative about narratives of historical meaning, experience or knowledge, all of which offer a society legitimation through the anticipated completion of a (as yet unrealized) master idea. That metanarrative then tends to serve and shape the norms and policies of a country.

Education Perspective – This perspective investigates and compares the role of education in (UAE) and US. Consider the following:
▪ How does (UAE) value education as compared to the US? How is an education experience viewed from their sources?
▪ Are the aspirations of (UAE) students different from what you think they are in the US.
▪ How would you compare the (UAE) and US education systems (i.e. values, testing, standardization, “conceptual” vs. “applied”, curriculum, etc.)?
