This week you examined models and tools used to plan for and implement organizational change.
Before completing this week’s assignment, review “The Four-Frame Model” in Ch. 4 of your textbook. The Four-Frame Model outlines the structural, human resources, political, and symbolic aspects of how an organization functions.
Imagine a senior executive has asked you to conduct an organizational self-assessment based on the Four-Frame Model.
Choose an organization that you either worked for, are familiar with, or have identified through research.
Write a 1,050-word report on the organization and how it resolves workplace conflict disputes. For your report, you should:
Describe the organization. What is its purpose? Who does it serve? How is its leadership structured?
Apply the Four-Frame Model to show how the organization currently functions. Explain how each frame is exemplified in the specific aspects of the organization and provide examples.
Examine the structural, human resources, political, and symbolic aspects of the organization within the Four-Frame construct. Detail your analysis.
Identify the frames in which, based on your analysis, the organization is operating most and least successfully regarding resolving workplace conflict disputes. Support your claim.
Apply multi-frame thinking to recommend organizational changes based on your analysis to strengthen weaker aspects of the organization.
Summarize your current analysis of the organization along with your recommendations for change based on the Four-Frame Model.
