I always figured I’m a nurse, I run around the hospital 3 or more days a week, “That’s why I don’t go to the gym” is what I always said. I recently purchased a FitBit and my level of motivation has increased dramatically. Has anyone else had this experience? The challenge feature is particularly motivating to me; essentially you battle your fellow Fitbit friends to see who can walk the most steps a day at the end of the day its rewarding to see your name at the top of the leader board.
Do you think Healthcare providers should recommend the use of wearable technology for motivation and exercise logging?
