You are investigating an issue that is important to you. In order to successfully complete this project, you need to produce the following:
A Policy Memo: What is the specific issue, and why is it important to you? Be sure to include relevant statistics/polls/data in your explanation as well as information on how it has or has not been addressed in the past. This should be 1-2 pages long and turned in with your final project as a separate document. Your rough draft for Phase 1 is due April 22.
A strategy for enacting the policy: What research will you conduct, and how will you conduct it? Who will you recruit? How will you fundraise for expenses? Will you conduct polls? Which institutions or bodies will be most likely to institute the policy? Will this be a school, local, state, or national policy? Will you utilize social media? This should be 2-3 pages long. Your rough draft for Phase 2 is due May 13th.
