There have been recent articles on using Children’s Literature in secondary content classrooms to help students practice skills and make connections. Make a list of 5 children’s books that may be appropriate that could be used as warm-ups or within lessons to help students connect with content and practice skills. Include the title and author of each book on your list. For each book, specifically state in at least 1 sentence what skill or content you would emphasize in a shared reading of that book.
