As you’ve been learning, a very important part of understanding research methods is understanding the ethical guidelines that must be taken into consideration when conducting research. To expand upon your reading and research, please complete the Introduction to Clinical Research training sponsored by the Global Health Training Centre. In order to complete your training, you must first create a free account.
Once you’ve created your account, complete the training and take a screenshot of your quiz results. Students must receive an 80% or higher in order to earn credit for this assignment. You will then submit those results for this assignment.
Introduction to Clinical Research
The research ethics online training is adapted from an e-learning course and resource package designed and produced by the World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO has kindly granted permission for the adaption of this resource in a format and platform that is accessible to all. This online resource contains a variety of modular and short courses, but for the sake of this assignment, we will be focusing on the module titled, Introduction to Clinical Research. Inside this training, students will find 14 different modules covering a variety of research topics, including privacy and confidentiality, informed consent, study design and more. After each lesson there is a brief quiz for participants to complete. If you elect to complete all 14 modules, you will receive a certification of completion for the training course.
