Find 9 primary sources using Edward III, his parliament, the ecclesiarchy, and the laypeople. My opinion on the original debate is that he wasn’t a good king as he undermined the laws of parliament controlling whether or not he could impose a new tax by reforming the wool trade of England, he asked for loans from the people of England without truly paying them back, he just allowed them more say in govt. Interesting and important. The Black Death affected the production of the wool trade which was Edwards’s key financial security which led to less money for the war. It also led to the Commons limiting the rights and power of aliens, especially merchants. The Good Parliament had to take control and reform the taxes and subsidiaries taken from cities.
