A complete and detailed lesson plan is essential to good teaching! Just as you would never start a trip without a plan about where to go and what to pack, a good teacher never starts a learning activity without a plan for what the children will know and be able to do when s/he is finished. It really is true that “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail!” (Benjamin Franklin)
For this learning activity, you will create a detailed lesson plan for one (1) of the following lessons after you have watched it. The form for the detailed plan is on page 528 of your text (Appendix A). There is a completed sample on pages 47-49 for your reference (figure 2.15).
You may want to watch both clips to see which lesson you would most like to use.
