What factors contribute to state political instability?

The research question for this paper is: What factors contribute to state political instability?
The case: Iraq.
– Abstract: the abstract should be no longer than a paragraph, succinctly stating what the project was about, the political context of the study, and the most significant findings or conclusion of the study (1 paragraph).
– Introduction: The introduction should provide general information about the topic, including a brief history. Your introduction may also include the research question and an overview of how your paper structurally unfolds. (1 page).
– Literature review: This section describes the scholarly literature and should explain (at the end) how your research question fits within this literature. It is also recommended to clearly restating your research question at the end of this section and introducing it again in the next (5 pages) (total of 7 sources that are academic/scholarly)
Parts of a lit review:
–  Introduction:
–  An introductory paragraph that explains what your working topic and subtopic is
–  A forecast of key topics/subtopic or texts that will appear in the review
– Potentially, a description of how you found sources and how you analyzed them for inclusion and discussion in the review.
– Body
–  Summarize and synthesize: Give an overview of the main points of each source and combine them into a coherent whole.
– Analyze and interpret: Don’t just paraphrase other researchers – add your own interpretations where possible, discussing the significance of findings in relation to your research question.
–  Critically Evaluate the findings of the reviewed sources.
– Write in well-structured paragraphs: Use transition words and topic sentence to draw connections, comparisons, and contrasts.
– Conclusion:
– Summarize the key findings you have taken from the literature and emphasize their significance.
– Connect it back to your primary research question by drawing your theoretical framework and hypothesis (s) of your research project.
– Research Design (Methodology): This section describes the project format, including your choice of case (s), hypothesis (s), the description and operationalization of the dependent and independent variables, and your choice of  method to collect data  and the sources ( 2  pages)
– Analysis and discussion of the findings: This section is the heart of the research paper. A presentation of the case(s) sets out the variables and the context. This is followed by a discussion of the evidence, the strength of relationships, and a response to the research question. ( 5 pages)
– Conclusion: Regardless of whether your hypotheses were supported by your research, the conclusion section is an opportunity to discuss the importance of your findings and their implications on similar studies or theories. (1 page)
– Bibliography: This section contains the sources you used, set out in alphabetical order by author’s last name and in an acceptable style or format . I recommend using the Turabian Style of Publications (an adoption of Chicago Manual of Style). (1-2 pages)
