For that reason, this is an open-source exam. To that end, your work will be graded differently, i.e., your discussion and interpretation should move past the obvious because you have access to books and internet. You must cite all outside sources. If you fail to cite a source, you will receive a zero for this exam. Part of your grade will be how well you manage outside sources. You will be graded on the quality of the outside sources you choose to use. When you cite sources, just put the source in parentheses after you cite it. For example, Garcilaso was influenced by Boscán (Randell, “Sixteenth Century Polyphony”, p. 64).| You will be graded lightly on spelling and grammar (after all, you have your sources in front of you, so you should be able to spell the authors’ names correctly).| Further instructions to be discussed in advance.
