Q1. It is thought that a high protein diet slows tumour growth and prevents cancer Initiation. An experiment was conducted to test the effect of a high protein diet versus a low protein diet on tumour weight for 20 mice. Two groups of ten laboratory mice with cancer were selected for experimentation. One group was fed a low protein diet whist the other group were fed a high protein diet for the duration of the experiment. Dataset Q1_14_15.xlsx contains the data obtained for tumour weight (in grams) of the 20 mice at the end of the experiment.
What can de deduced by statistical analysis about the effect of high versus low protein diet upon the weight of tumours observed in this study?
