This week’s current event topic is a short article interviewing an Oregon vineyard owner that is farming her vineyard using a regenerative no-till approach. She does a good job explaining her guiding philosophy, although she makes a case that to label it “regenerative” is pretty meaningless, as are the labels “sustainable agriculture”, “organic”, and “biodynamic”. These last three approaches we will cover in class in a few weeks so this will be a good introduction to different approaches to farming.
